Band Attempting to Break Jay-Z's Record At O Music Awards

1.

It’s the third year of the O Music Awards and I’m still not entirely sure what they’re an award ceremony for. The last two years have been dominated by world-record breaking publicity stunts, most notably Chiddy Bang’s 9-hour live streamed freestyle last year. The over-the-top feats are a main draw again this year, as an as-yet-unnamed band will be breaking the record for most concerts performed in multiple cities in 24 hours. The day-long tour will be broadcast online live and it’s all going down on June 27th. I bet the band is The Smiths.

If you were wondering what the OMAs are actually for, the MTV-helmed ceremony is held as “a celebration of all things related to digital music innovation, both online and off.” I really have no idea what they’re for. Apparently anyone in the world can be nominated, though, which is nice. Vote Midas 4 OMA 2k12 . For more info, check the OMA website.
