Temper Trap - "Need Your Love"

1.

Back in 2009, Temper Trap seemed nearly inescapable. They parlayed the melancholic, poppy stylings of the best tracks on their debut album, Conditions, into mainstream popularity through their inclusion on soundtracks and commercials – most notably the use of “Sweet Disposition” in (500) Days of Summer. Presumably, there’s a whole host of fans waiting to see if the Australian group can strike gold twice, and “Need Your Love” is the first indicator that, yes, they probably can.

“Need Your Love” lacks the sharp sadness mixed in with the infection melodies of their calling card singles, but packs enough of a well-constructed indie-pop punch to get heads nodding. What’s left off of this song will hopefully make an appearance on their self-titled sophomore LP, which is due out on June 5th.
