Spencer Krug, the enigmatic genius behind Sunset Rubdown and some of the best Wolf Parade, is at his weirdest when recording as Moonface. That being said, weird is completely relative when talking about Krug – he is a strange one – and weirdness often leads to the best music as a general rule. Moonface is always a moniker worth delving into, Krug is an amazing writer with some really interesting musical sensibilities and they all seem to be crystallizing here. I’m just a few songs in, not counting the samples that were released preceding this stream, and it’s great.
