Elite Gymnastics are a dream pop, electro haze, altogether delicious group out of Minneapolis that specializes in translucent textures well crafted into toe-tapping pop movements. If that sounds enticing to you, and I cannot imagine why it wouldn’t, you’ll be excited to hear that EG is following up their first two releases, Ruin and Ruin 2 with the appropriately named Ruin 3. Ruin 3 is a collection of remixes that you can pick up here.
Among the wonderful offerings on Ruin 3 is a remix of “Here In Heaven 4 & 5” by Montreal’s own Mike Silver. It’s an 8 minute glide through saturated vocals, a foundation of rhythm, and dancing glowing things. It’s soft like a pillow, but crisp like snare. Enjoy.
