One great thing about writing for P&P is that you are exposed to a vast amount and incredibly wide variety of music. Obviously in some cases, you’ll get some really terrible stuff that makes you question the state that the world of music is currently at. In others, you come across some real gems, real diamonds in the rough waiting to be dug out.
Case in point: Carousel, an indie-electro band based out of San Francisco. The trio came together while attending Berklee College of Music and began to develop what they describe as a “unique sound that combines the drive of electro with the melodic sensibilities of indie pop.” They’ve recently released a five-song EP called 26 Allston (which can be streamed and downloaded here), and on it is a track titled “The Thrill” that’s currently on heavy rotation.
