The Memphis rapper Gavin Mays, more commonly known as Cities Aviv, has recently released a new track titled “Wet Dream.” I suppose that the track is appropriately titled, as the production on the track may have that effect on one. I heard about Cities Aviv a little while ago when he came out with “Float On (after the jump),” a spaced-out reworking of the Modest Mouse song of the same name, and I’ve been hooked since. He’s got a brutish, straightforward rap flow, but it’s his taste for the slightly abstract that sets him apart. “Wet Dream” can be downloaded on his Bandcamp page. Check it out below.
