Chance Fischer - "Race Against the Sun"

1.

Chance Fischer had a shared feature in our Monster Mash – Volume One post a few months back, but the listener response was so positive that this time I figured we’d give the man his own damn post. A chance to stand out from the rest, and he doesn’t disappoint. The guitar and beat on this joint are raw and his flow is polished.

“Race Against the Sun” is the lead track off Fischer’s upcoming EP, Passport to Nowhere, which is a collaboration effort with producer Kleph Dollaz. It’s slated to drop September 15th and serves as a precursor release to his fall debut album entitled Friends.Romans.Collegemen.

Chance spoke to the ideas behind “Race Against the Sun” is his submission message, see those words below.

“The concept of the song covers the idea of taking risks and how most of the time you’re facing obstacles that seem insurmountable. For instance, you can never technically beat the sun in a race, but this is the struggle with music. Trying to make a creative venture profitable and fulfilling simultaneously. It is also my struggle with being a black Ivy League graduate pursuing music full time while many of my peers think I’m foolish.”
