I believe it’s actually written T H E S L O W D O W N, but how annoying is that? Apparently this band has been making noise on the internet for a while under other names, but I don’t spend much time on the internet (or is it inter-net?), so when I listened to this over at Sloane Ranger the other day, it served as my introduction to the Manchester rockers.
“Sex” is a high-flying rock anthem that, in more ways than just the title, is similar to “Sex On Fire” by Kings Of Leon. If you like it, head over to their Tumblr, where you will find absolutely nothing except the picture above and text that reads “Sex (E.P),” suggesting that an EP by the name of Sex is coming soon. Mystery is the new cool.
