Little Deadman - "Post Helado Madness"

1.

Reverb is big right now, but most bands that boast heavy reverb are all about a chill, hazy, atmospheric sound. California four piece Little Deadman’s “Post Helado Madness” is far from chill. It’s got hints of surf music guitar work and punk energy, all tied together with a hyper, almost threatening bass line. This one is off of their EP Shooting Seagulls, and they’re planning a full-length for early 2012.

Formed in early 2009 in San Diego, Little Deadman is Spencer Rabin, Anthony Levas, Brian Dall, and Tyson Wirtzfeld. Their reverb and echo steeped sound is alternately breezy California cool and caustic proto-punk, drawing influence in equal measure from the folk structure of Bob Dylan, the pop sensibility and moodiness of New Order, and 60’s soul music.
