To be honest, when I heard “Purple Swag,” I figured ASAP Rocky had just managed to perfectly embody this vibe that was most likely never going to be matched, and the heavy buzz surrounding him would dissipate like a cloud of smoke. Then I heard the Clams Casino-produced “Wassup,” and was equally impressed, and now the Harlem rapper scores a three-peat with “Peso.” Looks like ASAP Rocky might stick around for a while.
“Peso” is another heavy, spaced out, drugged up, head-in-the-sky cut that picks up where “Purple Swag” left off. ASAP’s mixtape Live.Love.A$ap comes out next month.
