The Wealthy West is Austin-based singer/songwriter Brandon Kinder, who is also the lead singer for The Rocketboys. In his free time, Brandon started writing some songs that didn’t fit in with the Rocketboys vibe, so he bought a new hat and named himself The Wealthy West. I just made that hat part up, but I assume that most reinventions of self start with a new hat.
