Jim Jones ft. Lloyd & Girl Talk - "Believe In Magic"

In late February, Pitchfork TV played musical matchmaker by bringing Girl Talk to Jim Jones‘ Nomad District Studio in New York for a collabo session with the Dipset wordsmith.  The meeting was video documented for the latest installment of Pitchfork’s “Selector” series.  Pairing these two opposites together must have felt like a total crapshoot, but after exchanging pleasantries and some burning of the medical herb (Jones has glaucoma, right?) all seemed well as the two professionals got down to business.

Girl Talk supplies some pretty sweet MoTown swag on this track with his sampling of the 1970’s Honey Cone’s classic ,”Want Ads”.  Jones does his thing of course and as a finishing touch Lloyd was recruited for supporting vocals.  All-in-all “Believe in Magic” has a pretty nice feel to it.  Download the track below, head here for behind the scenes studio footage.  If you don’t have Girl Talk’s latest album All Day, you can snag that bad boy here.
