You guys know by now, my favorite band outside of the one man ensemble that is Kanye West is The National. They were my first post here at P&P, and everything I’ve ever heard from them has been incredible. Despite not having a follow up to last year’s High Violet in sight for anytime soon, they’ve been keeping a slow, steady stream of fantastic music to keep the withdrawal shakes at bay. They recently contributed to the soundtrack of Win-Win, Tom McCarthy’s new film starring Paul Giamatti (which looks great too), and the new track, “Think You Can Wait,” is a slow burner definitely on par with some of their best work.
