The Good Natured - Wolves

1.

Thanks to Midas (look, he finally got a public Twitter account – go say hi) for introducing me to The Good Natured. I was just thinking about how I need to hear more from this Sarah McIntosh chick, and then I get this in my inbox. Fate? Maybe not – I like to think that if fate does exist, it doesn’t work via emails. That just seems to undermine the whole concept, right? But convenient? Yes. Let’s check out the latest from The Good Natured, who seems to be next in line for the role of UK pop darling.

The Good Natured, just signed to Regal/Parlophone Records in the UK (Gorillaz, Bat for Lashes, LCD Soundsystem), has just released a hot-off-the-press new studio single, “Wolves.” “Wolves” is a driving, lycanthropic dance track written by The Good Natured’s 20-year-old frontwoman, Londoner Sarah McIntosh, and produced by the band and Patrik Berger, known for his work with Robyn. In it, we find the gamine-like McIntosh in the deep dark wood, “dancing ’round fires, lost in desire” and ready to surrender to the howling of the wolves. It’s a feral, sensual track with a bit of the Gothic and it’s ridiculously catchy.  You can hear the howls and feel the full moon rise as McIntosh implores the “wolves to take me home.”
