The Black Keys aren’t the kind of band that does anything half-assed, so it should come as no surprise that their performance two nights ago on Saturday Night Live was solid as usual. The show was hosted by Canadian comedian Jim Carrey and featured the blues-rock duo from Akron, Ohio performing two songs off last year’s stellar Brothers. Also worth noting: it would appear that guitarist/lead singer Dan Auerbach shaved his magnificent facial hair for this television appearance, and I’m not entirely sure how I feel about that.
