Here’s another great song from Vampire Weekend’s upcoming Contra, out January 12. Vamp Wknd put this song up on their MySpace today, and I saw it earlier posted at It’s A Rap. It’s just a MySpace rip, but it should hold you over until you can buy the album. “White Sky” is a classic Vampire Weekend melody that is bound to keep you warm on these brisk winter days. It’s a colorful track with a yelp-filled chorus that goes something like “aaahaahh oooh aaahaaah oooh oooohooohooooh ooh aaaahhhaaahhh oohhh, etc.” I’m a big fan of the often overlooked art of yelping, so this excites me.
