Alright, I’m not gonna talk too much shit on Lupe Fiasco, because a lot of people like the dude for good reasons. Not like I hate him or anything, but I wasn’t upset to hear he was planning to retire from the game. I’ve always been pretty indifferent towards him. In his latest move, Lupe decided to put on a British accent, set up a Myspace under the name Japanese Cartoon, and put up some underproduced indie post-punk. Not sure how the word got spread that it was him, but I heard via SmokeYYY.
To his credit, this isn’t bad. But if it wasn’t Lupe, would anybody pay attention?
