Moneybagg Yo and Jhené Aiko dimmed the lights and slowed things down in the new music video for Moneybagg’s track “One of Dem Nights.”
It finds both artists lounging around a cozy bedroom as they trade verses on the different qualities they each enjoy in a relationship. Moneybagg focuses on the importance of loyalty and respect. “Tell me that it’s mine and only mine/don’t make me ask you twice/ Ride with me, keep it G/L-U-V, it’s the loyalty for me, your energy, uh,” Moneybagg raps.
Meanwhile, Jhené—who uses her finger in the video to spread around fairy dust like a fairy godmother—croons about how she respect’s her lover’s passion. “I really love the way you love me/it’s the passion for me/ I know you the realest ‘cause you’d do anything for me, yeah,” she sings.
Moneybagg is deep in love himself. He and his girlfriend Ari Fletcher have been going strong for years now, and show no signs of slowing down, even as skeptics try to question them. The “Time Today” rapper recently celebrated his 30th birthday and received 28 acres of land as a gift from Ari. While this gift was incredibly meaningful, the hosts of The Real criticized Ari for “acting married.” Ari stood by her decision and was quick to respond to the accusations on Twitter.
“Y’all don’t know the half of what he does for me mentally or financially,” she wrote. “I’ve never felt so safe, loved, spoiled and happy with a person. He loves me and my son so much. I’m sorry that you haven’t experienced a love like this. Focus on getting your own land and your husband.” Moneybagg himself chimed in on Twitter simply to say, “Love Is Love Mind Ya Business.”
