Goddamn this good. Wow. I'm basically writing this post at the same time as I'm listening to this EP for the first time and it might be one of the most solid pieces of work I've heard in 2014 so far, and definitely the music that has most surprised and delighted me. If you love sexy, 1970/80s-type funky bass lines mixed with today's bass music rhythms then this will blow you away. I am pretty sure these bass lines are from someone actually playing bass. It adds such a wonderful element. The sole remix by Howie Lee is a future club banger in it's own right. Altogether, if I was giving out marks for this release, this is a solid A+. Great return from Montreal's RAW Records and amazing first showing from label boss Dear Lola. This is a reputation builder.
