Unreleased Drake and Jorja Smith Collab Surfaces

An unreleased Drake and Jorja Smith collab, tentatively titled "I Could Never," has surfaced online. The two previously linked on 'More Life' last year.

A previously unheard Drake and Jorja Smith collab has surfaced, as highly sought-after songs are wont to do.

The tentatively titled "I Could Never" begins with a subdued piano and Drake crooning intro, ultimately giving way to pulsing electric guitars and layers of Jorja vocals, but writing out how a song sounds is ultimately meaningless. Though I can't actually embed the song (which, as you'll see, sounds somewhat unfinished) in this article, just know that it's out there should you choose to track it down.

Smith previously appeared on Drake's 2017 album playlist More Life, joining Black Coffee on the Nineteen85-assisted "Get It Together."

Some fans later speculated that the "I got this 11 tatted for somebody, now it's yours" line on the Scorpion closer March 14 was a reference to Smith, whose 2016 FAMM-released EP was titled Project 11.

Lost & Found, Smith's debut studio album, dropped back in June and featured a tracklist spanning years' worth of writing and recording sessions. Speaking with Complex surrounding the highly anticipated album's release, Smith detailed what she hopes Lost & Found will give her fans.

"I just want to help somehow, whether it's help people be happier or make you sad because I've made you think about something that you've done which wasn't good," she said at the time. "I just want people to think and open their mind."

The newly surfaced track arrives days after Drake was forced to postpone a pair of Aubrey and the Three Migos tour stops in Miami due to apparent illness.  "I got so ill so fast and I had never experienced anything like that in my life," Drake said in a statement, apologizing to fans and thanking doctors for helping him land a speedy recovery.
