In the collab’s official video, viewers are given a look at an argument between two characters portrayed by GloRilla and Moneybagg, with the lyrics coming to life starting with a potential infidelity-proving discovery made while in a drive-thru line.
See the newly released video in full above. Notably, “On Wat U On”—also available to stream below via Apple Music and Spotify—marks the first time the two Collective Music Group (CMG) artists have appeared together on the same track.
In April, as recently announced, GloRilla will be in Indio for the 2023 edition of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Headlining this year’s festival are Bad Bunny, Blackpink, and Frank Ocean.
The Coachella announcement and the Moneybagg collab follow a still-in-progress streak from GloRilla, who enjoyed a breakout year in 2022, complete with a Grammy nomination and the rollout of her Anyways, Life’s Great… EP. Speaking with Jessica McKinney for a recent feature in Complex’s Volume, GloRilla reflected on her rise, as well as detailed how it “just felt right” to sign with Yo Gotti’s CMG imprint.
“Memphis is top tier when it comes to music,” GloRilla said. “I’m so glad [that] the last couple years we’ve been getting the notoriety, because Memphis is known for music too.”
