In JAY-Z's excellent 4:44 album opener "Kill Jay Z," produced with precision by No I.D., a certain closing passage drew parallels to the real-lifefatherhoodsituation of Future. Now, as his WIZRD promo campaign continues, Future is addressing the 2017 lyric in question. According to the Freebandz boss, he and JAY had a conversation about the "In the future other n****s playin' football with your son" line during which he criticized JAY for not supporting him.
"JAY-Z, when I talked to him, [he said] 'Man, I didn't mean to say that. I didn't mean it like that,'" Future told The Durtty Boyz show earlier this week. "I was just like, You supposed to be bigging up the rap community. You need to let the NFL deal with the NFL. You supposed to be bigging up me, anything. We come from the trenches. I come from the streets, you come from the streets. You're supposed to be bigging me up. You're not supposed to be giving no negative attention for a hot line for something that's gon' always be out."
Ultimately, though, Future said "it is what it is" and he's not dumping much energy into it. "I ain't even trippin' off him," he added. "I'm trying to get where I'm going and ain't nobody gon' stop me. Whatever going on: the talking, the captions or whatever, the memes. It can't stop me because there's a vision that I have and there's goals that I have done set out for myself that I gotta get done no matter what."

At the moment, it would appear Future's vision has hit a new peak. The WIZRD, which was accompanied by a very good documentary of the same name, is garnering strong reviews and will most likely land atop the Billboard 200 when the chart updates.
