Paul Swytch is an anomaly. Instead of releasing a steady flow of content, he often disappears from the public eye for months at a time and surfaces with a bucketload of insane records. It's all or nothing in his world, apparently. His last upload on SoundCloud was half a year ago, his last original mix was in 2011, and instead of giving us a record or two to announce his triumphant return, he handed us a collaborative mix with Atlanta's Clerks that consists of nothing but their own original production and a Distal remix that Clerks knocked out. If you're taking notes, this is how you flex.
I've heard quite a bit of this mix in bits and pieces over the past year, and know he's sitting on a lot more records (there's definitely a collaborative EP with Geno Cochino that's ready to fly), but this mix is certainly nothing to sneeze at. Breezing through 21 tracks in just over 30 minutes, Swytch and Clerks run through trap records that boast hints of rap, grime, reggae, and dubstep, and casually straddle the line between palatable and unique perfectly. Swytch plans to shoot some of the splits from this one at some point, and we're definitely going to keep you in the loop on the singles as they drop.
