New Orleans police have identified a "person of interest" connected to the murder of rapper Young Greatness.

Local authorities were able to identify the man from CCTV footage taken at the scene of the shooting. Greatness was killed outside of a Waffle House on Monday, Oct. 29 before two suspects drove off in his car. Local WDSU news anchor Christina Watkins has since tweeted out the images of the New Orleans PD's "person of interest."

Greatness' mother, Jeanine Rose, has also spoken to the local news station about the conditions in her area. "They can have it with their politics and potholes. It's too many mothers taking slow walks to sad tombs while they sit at home and play politics with people's life and people living."

New Orleans rapper Sess 45 also spoke with WDSU regarding the tragic shooting. "It's super tragic because all of the entertainers who have success want to stay here and represent New Orleans, but also live here in the culture. At some point, your life can be cut short."

Rapper @SESS45 told me the murder of #YoungGreatness is an example of why some artists don’t want to stay in New Orleans. They love and want to represent the city, but he says, “at some point, your life could be cut short.” @wdsu pic.twitter.com/ZznYK0ngMJ

Young Greatness was most known for his 2015 hit "Moolah" that would go on to get nationwide attention, and an eventual remix featuring Lil Wayne and Yo Gotti.

The rapper was only 34 years old at the time of his tragic passing.
