Although Birmingham’s music pedigree is well-established by now, the focus does tend to shift back to London, so it’s always worth reminding ourselves of just how deep the well of talent runs in the 0121.

To that end, 10 of their finest artists from the worlds of rap, grime and bassline have come together for a monumental link-up. They’re going by the name The Maffia and their ranks include RM, Trilla, Caps, Trills, Mvrnie, RK, Fox, OG Niki, Sox, and C4. “Brumtown (All Stars Anthem Pt 1)” and it looks as if there’s more on the way too.

Zipping through their myriad styles and genres, it’s an impressive showing that does well to highlight veterans like Trilla and Sox alongside some of the city’s newer talents. Best of all, proceeds from the  track will go to The HardKnock Foundation, a local charity who put their resources into feeding Birmingham’s homeless.

Naturally, the new single also comes with a video. Jrdz directs, opening with an aerial view of the sprawling city, before heading to straight level to profile each and every artist on the track. From curbside to members club, we get the full range of what the city and The Maffia have to offer.

As the title suggests, there will also be a part two on the way. While we wait for more on that, hit play on the video above and be sure to add “Brumtown (All Stars Anthem Pt 1)” to your playlists.
