With his new album, UGLY, just around the corner (March 3, to be exact), Northampton punk-rhymer slowthai has teamed up with Jägermeister for a six-date tour of some of his favourite boozers around the country.
The Jägermeister Best Night Of Your Life pub tour kicks off at the end of this month, running through towns that tend to get overlooked when big artists book their tours. So, if you’re from Sunderland, Blackpool, Milton Keynes, Bath, or Northampton, you quite possibly will be blessed with the best night of your life.
Late last month, slowthai shared UGLY’s first track, “Selfish”, along with a solemn performance piece of him sitting in a perspex box. The track amplifies the noisy and distorted punk elements that have always been part of him and pushed them right to the forefront, so it makes sense he’d want to take these new tunes to some smaller, sweatbox pub venues.
He’s also just dropped another raw and sweaty track from the album, “Feel Good”. It’s brimming with rowdy energy, but it also does exactly what it says on the tin. Quite literally a feel-good anthem but with plenty of moshpit fuel in it. You can bet this is going to set the energy levels sky-high in each and every one of those 100-odd capacity pubs.
Speaking on his decision to head to some smaller venues, slowthai explains: “I make music for myself, but I wouldn’t be where I am without my fans. It’s important to me that people can have access to me and my music, so I wanted to go to some new places and play this album first. Times are tough for a lot of people and working with Jägermeister has helped me keep tickets to only a quid.”

Tickets for each show are just £1 (just 1p more than his legendary 99p tour in 2019), which of course means they’re going to absolutely fly, so you’ll need to act fast.
