This Friday, February 28, Swoon Recordings boss Ryan Murgatroyd will release his brand new single, "We Go Walking" with fellow South African DJ/producer Mark Valsecchi. Before the full collection drops (with remixes from German producer Jelico and South Africa's Kostakis), we wanted to draw your attention to the original.
Together, Murgatroyd and Valsecchi have created a rolling, techy club number destined for the darkest, sweatiest nightclubs. Continuously throwing in subtle flourishes and some vocal samples flitting in and out of focus, this reworking should become an essential element in any house DJ's arsenal.
Speaking with Complex via email, Murgatroyd told us: "We know the team at Swoon has a soft spot for these types of records. Epic breakdowns and emotive drops and that classic house infused male vocal line at the core. Add in a couple of amazing remixes from Jelico and Kostakis and for me it's a perfect follow up to 'Wicked Eyes'. I can't wait for people to check it out."
