Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar have a familiar connection that is coming to life with their collaborations. And as the world patiently awaits Baby Keem’s new album, Melodic Blue, the Kendrick-featuring song “Range Brothers” circulated online, leaving some people confused.

In the video, Kendrick repeats the phrase “Top o’ the morning.” He also repeats the phrase “Let’s get this shit” multiple times. Although it’s out of context, some fans struggled to find the meaning behind it.

Kendrick is one of the kings of voice changes and inflections, and according to Keem, they’re taking things to a new level. The California native took to Twitter, where he revealed that he and his cousin have created “four new languages,” for their collabs on the album because pure rap was “boring.”

He also referenced Kendrick’s approach to DAMN. by claiming that these languages can also be spoken backward.

Melodic Blue is set to drop this Friday. It features heavy production from one of Keem’s earliest supporters, Cardo Got Wings, as well as Kendrick and Keem’s hit single, “Family Ties.”
