Lady Gaga is about to follow in the footsteps of Bjork by providing a multimedia experience for her fourth album, ARTPOP.
According to a statement on her LittleMonsters.com website, ARTPOP will be released on many different platforms—iPad, iPhone, mobile, and computer-compatible versions. Each song will be complete with interactive games, bonus music, magazines, chats, fashion updates, and plenty more.
"You inspired me to create something that communicated with images, because YOU do," wrote the Mother Monster. "YOU communicate with me and each other with .gifs and pictures, and artwork, graphics ALL DAY 24/7/YOU'RE an ARTPOP generation."
Gaga also promises that the physical and digital release of ARTPOP will be “unique and different from the app.” There is no official word on the release date for ARTPOP, but expect the album to hit stores in December 2013.
