24-year-old Sydney Leday detailed her experience getting shot in the murder of Takeoff in a new interview, and revealed she owes over $200,000 in medical bills.

Speaking with The Shade Room, as seen above, Leday reiterated that she was out celebrating Halloween in Houston, Texas for her 24th birthday. “Everything happened within a few seconds,” she said. “As soon as I saw a weapon, I tried to hurry up and get out of there.” Takeoff was fatally shot during the early hours of November 1, 2022 following a disagreement over a dice game that he was not involved in, and during the shooting Leday was hit in the head by a bullet.

"I would say, we got there about one o’clock in the morning,” Leday said of the party at the bowling alley, which she added was hosted by J.Prince. “We got outside, and it was time for everybody to go home. That’s when things changed.”

She noticed Quavo arguing with another man, and she remembered that she was “caught off guard” when she saw someone pull out a weapon. It was only when she ran away from the shooting that she realized she was also shot.

“I felt the sting in my head,” Leday said. “I didn’t realize what actually happened to me, and fortunately, I had on a wig and a wig cap. So, I took the wig off and noticed that I had a lot of blood.” As The Shade Room noted during the report, Leday’s hospital bills over the shooting, which put her in a coma for several days, she owes “upwards” of $200,000 for the surgeries and treatment she received.

Leday first opened up about the shooting in January, during which she said she felt “grateful” that she’s alive to tell her story but has suffered emotionally and physically. The man accused of killing Takeoff, 33-year-old Patrick Clark, posted a $1 million bond in January and was released. He is expected to appear in court later this month.

Her family has since set up a GoFundMe campaign to pay for her extensive medical bills
