Cardi B jumped to Bobby Shmurda's defense after the 27-year-old rapper was roasted over some dance moves. While it’s not exactly clear what specifically called Cardi to action, allhiphop.com points out that Shmurda has been ridiculed online for his dancing in recent weeks.

“Y’all really be trying Bobby cause he be dancing and no lie when I used to do visits in Rikers Bobby & Rowdy were always in OBC solitary confinement cause they was really getting it rockin,” she tweeted on Sunday. “Them boys ain’t punked out in jail really stood on their shit unlike a lot of rappers.”

When a fan tweeted at Cardi to suggest that Bobby was, in fact, “living his best life,” she added, “Exactly he’s happy ass FUCK!! full of life !!! HE DID 7 years in fucking jail. Celebrate freedom everyday and however the fuck you want to do it !!!”

Wiz Khalifa also defended the rapper on Twitter. “If I could dance like Bobby Shmurda I would,” he wrote. “I be too stoned to move my body like that but that shits hella awesome to watch.”

If his posts on Instagram are any indication, Shmurda isn’t letting the criticism get to him, and he even reposted one of Cardi’s tweets about him on his Instagram Story.

Bobby Shmurda recently released his hard-hitting single “Shmoney,” which saw him collaborate with Quavo and Rowdy Rebel.
