The Instagram Live Versuz series that has been put together by hip-hop megastars Timbaland and Swizz Beatz have been memorable to say the least, giving legendary bouts between the likes of Mannie Fresh and Scott Storch to T-Pain versus Lil Jon, and even RZA, who is scheduled to go against DJ Premier tomorrow night. Amongst these battles, production legends Teddy Riley and Babyface were supposed to duke it out on Instagram Live last weekend, but the battle canceled last minute.

Today, on his birthday, Babyface took to Twitter to reveal that he and his family had actually tested positive for COVID-19—which might, in part, explain the sudden cancelation—beat it, and that he now is planning on commencing the battle next Saturday. If that's not an OG move, I don't know what is.

Riley also explained prior why they had to postpone their battle last week, referencing them trying to figure ways around the one-hour live limit that Instagram has. “We really want this done right, and we don’t want the stops from Instagram.” he explained. Now with a new date and time set, we can prepare for what will definitely be another legendary battle in the running Versuz series.
