Stormzy's publishing arm, #Merky Books, has announced a three-day pop-up event, celebrating creativity through music, art, culture and other mediums. In connection with Beats By Dre, #Merky Books will set up at the new Beats residency space from November 14-16 over a jam-packed three days of programming.

Highlights include a songwriting workshop hosted by Wretch 32, with writer Darren Chetty, on launch day; day two will feature an Illustration workshop with artist Dapo Adeola and a live talk with author Chelsea Kwakye; and day three will close out with a screening of Serious Tingz from rising filmmaker Abdou Cisse, and there will also be a talk with journalist and author Bolu Babalola and "art form practitioner" Inua Ellams.

Across the week, visitors can also listen to audiobooks at the Beats listening stations and take in DJ sets from Pablo, K2RAH and Creole Cuts.

Launched by Stormzy in 2018, the #Merky Books imprint awarded the inaugural 'New Writers' prize to Monika Radojevic for her poetry collection, 23 And Me, and also Hafza Zayyan for her novel We Are All Birds Of Uganda.
