Returning to our screens last month in the Netflix revival of Top Boy, Ashley Walters' rap alter-ego, Asher D, takes centre stage today on an anthem of the same name—and he's brought along a few friends for the ride. Over a warped, bass-rattling Swifta Beater production, Asher D opens with a short but menacing verse—a skill no doubt honed in his So Solid days alongside the crew's 20-odd official members—and lays down a hard, defiant hook. An all-out flow convention, "Top Boy" also features P Money, Big Tobz and D Double E attacking the beat with their distinct styles as the London-centric visual follows each MC through the ends.

Still at the top of his game in both of his respective fields, it's Asher D's season for a little while longer. Press play above.
