Saweetie's summer hit "My Type," which recently hit a sales milestone, makes a move toward continuing that success with a new remix.
The new take on "My Type" features City Girls and Jhené Aiko. Per Saweetie, this update actually marks the first of presumed several remixes, so keep an ear or two out for additional reworks in the future.
The original "My Type," as discussed here in a Songs of the Summer breakdown, has been said to have been a last-minute addition to Saweetie's ICY EP. The track boosted its streaming numbers with some assistance from the #MYTYPECHALLENGE, with the official video for the London on da Track production pushing those numbers even higher in July.
Speaking on the impact her music has had, Saweetie toldBillboard back in March that she's heard from several fans who were inspired by her songs to exit a bad relationship.
"A lot of women reach out to me and tell me my music has given them the courage and confidence to break up with not just any boyfriend, but an unhealthy relationship," she said.
