Next month, July 19, New York indie-meets-synth pop foursome Plastic Picnic will release their new EP, Vistalite, and now they're teasing the project's first single, "After You". Crafted, as they explain below, as a sort of antidote to the fear of change and that initial stressful period after a life-altering decision. It can be scary, for sure, but as frontman Emile Panerio sings over the '80s-influenced synth washes, it can also be exhilirating.
Speaking with Complex via email, the band explained: "'After You' alternates between hope and crippling fear of change. It's a song about seeing the road you're on while also looking out at the paths or exits spread before you. It embraces the exhilaration of leaning into the unknown and asking yourself if you should take that leap."
