Premiere: Kemba's New "Deadass" Video Reps NYC

Kemba's brand-new video features Peter Rosenberg, Fatboy SSE, and Pio. Deadass.

Bronx rapper Kemba is currently readying his first album for Sounds Music Group, a joint venture between Republic Records and former XXXTentatcion manager Solomon Sobande. The project comes on the heels of a number of high-profile moments for the rapper over the past few years: a notable freestyle on Peter Rosenberg's show, sharing the stage with Kendrick Lamar, a tour put on by Pigeons & Plane, and more.

Now, Kemba takes a further step into the limelight—while still repping his roots—with the video for his ode-to-NYC track "Deadass." The clip features a cameo from Rosenberg, as well as appearances by Instagram stars Pio and Fat Boy SSE.

Kemba explained his vision for the clip. "I wanted to have people in the video that were repping New York and just people I’m a fan of," he told Complex. "Rosenberg is a staple in NYC radio. Fat Boy and Pio are mad funny and putting on for the city. All of them give the video the feel I was looking for."

Kemba is currently working on a follow-up to his powerful 2016 project Negus. You can watch the "Deadass" video above. Deadass.
