Barely two weeks since the clocks were dragged back, and Britain has been plunged into a familiar darkness, staring down the barrel of another long and frosty winter. Thankfully, some artists are still making lush, soulful hip-hop to keep us warm; the kind that conjures lolling palm trees, rollerskating and Cadillacs sliding down sun-bleached highways. Today, Old Paradice, comprised of producer Morriarchi and MC Confucius, bring us some grainy, feel-good visuals for their new single "Sunkissed".

Here, Old Paradice rep both their old and new school influences; out front, Confucius pairs gentle philosophy with realist descriptions of London's grit and grime, evoking the spirit of late '80s/early '90s golden era greats. In the back, Morriarchi brings a sly edge, his production crushing and twisting those nostalgic funky basslines and piano hooks into something distinctly modern.

The duo's upcoming EP, The Last Resort, draws out that vibe across six new cuts, and features LA rapper Blu's first ever appearance with a British lyricist. It's the perfect accompaniment to our sharp descent into winter—a little sonic sparkle to take you back to this year's balmy and seemingly endless summer nights. The pair's previous collaborations are vast: representatives from across UK rap's last two decades, from mainstays Jehst and Michall Parknsun to fresh-faced agitators Kate Tempest and the cast of Blah Records.

"Sunkissed" will be released on November 9The Last Resort lands on January 18, 2019.
