Fusing hip-hop, R&B and pop, Konsequence are two brothers from Germany who are bringing something fresh to the music industry. Coming up, they listened to a healthy dose of indie-rock and pop, but, eventually, their musical journey led them to rap and R&B, where they settled and found their home. Their main inspiration comes from the 1980s and '90s, which is showcased heavily on their new single "90s Heartbreak". The chilled-out vibe incorporates vintage-sounding piano keys backed by snappy trap 808s, transporting the listener into the thick of the 1990s, but with an up-to-date feel.
Written, produced, and directed by Konsequence, the visuals perfectly illustrate the essence of the nostalgic era. Speaking about the song, the duo said: "'Heartbreak' is a nostalgic ode to the 90s. The sequences include romantic comedies and scenes of LA, as we speak on the rocky relationships of our past."
