Off the back of last year's Blueprint EP, Toulouse-based artist Julien "Redeyes" Salvi is back with visuals for a track from his recent debut album, Broken Soul, called "Blessed", a hazy rap cut marked for its poetic, soulful edge and intricate lyricism. Joining him on the track are Abnormal Sleepz and HMD and together the three weave tells of self-discovery that we're sure will prove to be one of the pivotal moments on the album. Sonically, the track is a mixture of crunchy rap beats, jazzy flourishes and an extremely laid back aesthetic that's deftly replicated in Karl John's visuals.
As for the rest of the album, which drops via Dutch label The North Quarter (release date TBC), expect appearances from Manchester legends DRS and Tyler Daley, KinKai, Juga-Naut as well as NY rap upstart Milano Constantine.
