After a severe bout with depression, it looks like Bryson Tiller is back. On Friday night, the Louisville native gifted us a remix of Tory Lanez’s “Leaning” and a cover of SZA’s “Normal Girl.” As if that wasn't enough, he also released a brand new song called “Canceled.”
Tiller tweeted the first two songs late last night, first dropping “Normal Girl” via Soundcloud, and then “Leaning” via YouTube, and dropping “Canceled” on Soundcloud, too.
While Tiller’s rendition of “Normal Girl” is a buttery straightforward version of the original, “Leaning” replaces the song’s original feature PartyNextDoor and adds in some memorable lyrics: “Girl you know me like slowly yeah lights low key/Take a little trip, got a flight’s on me/I don't know if you’re new to these things/Seen what I seen right drop top beam/New bag I do it for no reasons.” “Canceled,” on the other hand, is true Tiller, his manipulated vocals laid over a punctuated rhythm.
This isn’t the only new material we’ve gotten from Tiller recently. Last week, Lanez shared the song “Keep In Touch” featuring Tiller, to celebrate Lanez’s upcoming new album, tentatively titled Love Me Now?
