Chance the Rapper Drops 4 New Songs

Chance the Rapper has blessed fans with new music as he prepares to perform at the Special Olympics' 50th anniversary celebration event this weekend in Chicago.

If you were hoping for new music from Chance the Rapper this week, you're in luck. The Chicago native has blessed fans with four songs, including "Work Out" and "Wala Cam" featuring Supa Bwe.

The new material comes after a slight bit of confusion on whether Chance would be releasing something this week. In an interview with the Chicago Tribune, Chance was quoted as saying a new project was "going to come out just in time for the Special Olympics," which takes place Saturday, July 21 at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island in Chicago.

The following day, Chance told fans he would not be releasing a project, but assured them he was working in the studio. "Sorry no album this week, def been in the stu tho," he tweeted.

Chance was recently a guest on Open Late With Peter Rosenberg, where he unveiled plans to collaborate with Kanye West on a seven-song album. "I've been actively working on the project with Childish, I'm gonna do a seven-track with 'Ye," he said at the time.

And that Childish Gambino collaborative project? “We got six songs that are all fire,” he explained. “But I think the album's gonna be more than 14 songs. I think it's gonna be a full thing.”

Of the four new songs from Chance, Lido produced on three of them: "Work Out," Wala Cam," and "65th & Ingleside."

This new music should hold over fans while they wait a little longer for Chance's proper follow-up to Coloring Book. Stream it now via Apple Music. The songs are also over on YouTube. Listen below.
