Premiere: Rebecca Garton Unveils Empowering New Single "Always"

Most widely known for her features on Krept & Konan's debut album, "Always" does signal a chance for Garton to assert herself on her own terms.

Earlier this week, British singer-songwriter Rebecca Garton returned with new single "Always", premiered on the airwaves by BBC Radio 1Xtra.

Now she returns, just days later, unveiling accompanying visuals for a song currently seeing its way into your favourite playlists. Mostly known for her features on Krept & Konan's debut LP, "Always" signals a chance for Rebecca to assert herself on her own terms. There's more energy and more attitude than we have come to expect from her previously and, in the video—backed up by a girl gang in the cut—Rebecca steps back into the limelight.

"'Always' came about after a rocky relationship," she tells Complex. "I wanted to feel free and do things I had never done. I wanted to feel empowered and I wanted women that had been broken to feel empowered listening to the song. It's literally about being you, being free, and accepting all your flaws and insecurities and rocking them serious vibes."
