The Red Hot Chili Peppers are celebrating their upcoming album The Getaway by joining forces with their old pal Chris Rock.

Rock, who is a big enough RHCP supporter that he actually inducted them into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, will host a new limited run Chili Peppers-only satellite radio station on SiriusXM. The station, called Red Hot Chili Peppers Radio, will launch on Wednesday, two days before The Getaway's release, and will run through June 21. According to SiriusXM, it will feature music spanning the band's whole career, as well as commentary from the group members and "songs by influential artists hand-picked from the band's personal music collection."

"We're excited to join forces with one of rock's most treasured bands to bring SiriusXM subscribers Red Hot Chili Peppers Radio," said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer, SiriusXM. "With Chris Rock as the channel host — someone who knows a thing or two about hosting big entertainment events and even more about the Chili Peppers — fans across North America will be taken on an exclusive guided tour of the band's iconic career."

The Chili Peppers were most recently in the news this past May when singer Anthony Kiedis was hospitalized for extreme stomach pain, causing the band to miss their headlining set at Los Angeles radio station KROQ's Weenie Roast concert. The group is scheduled to perform at this year's Lollapalooza festival in July along with Radiohead, J. Cole, Future, and a reunited LCD Soundsystem.
