Bankroll was viewed as one of the most promising acts out of Atlanta. He released his Life of a Hot Boy mixtape in 2014, which featured his notable street single, "Hot Boy." He would later grab Lil Wayne, Juvenile, and Turk for a remix of the track. Bankroll followed that up with the second installment in 2015. More recently, he aligned with 2 Chainz and Street Execs and shared his self-titled mixtape on Thanksgiving of last year.

Several artists and DJs close to Bankroll Fresh have reacted to the news of his death and have offered their condolences, including 2 Chainz, Migos, DJ Drama, Vince Staples, and Earl Sweatshirt.
