Sad news for the legendary U2 this morning, as it's being reported that the band's longtime tour manager, Dennis Sheehan, passed away in Los Angeles this morning. The news comes just as the band arrived in L.A. to kick off a five-date tour at the Forum, with the first show taking place last night. According to TMZ, Sheehan was found unconscious in his hotel room this morning after paramedics were called for a possible cardiac arrest.
Sheehan was with the band for over 30 years, and had also worked with the likes of Led Zeppelin, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, and more throughout his career. As of now, the band has not issued a statement on the passing of Sheehan, and it's not clear if they will finish the remaining tour dates in Los Angeles. We will continue to update the story when more details become available.
