The Louisiana native, who recently made national headlines after revealing that he was having sex with his cousin, was performing in Lexington on Saturday night when shots were fired in the club and one fan was injured. Police hope that Gates' view from the stage will give them a clue as to who the suspect may be.
Despite the shooting, Gates continued to perform at the club, and even ventured into the crowd to finish off his set with fans that stayed after the incident. In the footage below, shots can be heard as fans scramble from the scene, though Gates continues to perform. This is actually the second shooting in as many weeks that has taken place at one of Gates' shows, with the other leaving one person injured following a performance in Memphis.
