Following the release of Lil Wayne's first Sorry 4 the Wait 2 track last night, his longtime manager, Cortez Bryant, took to his personal Instagram to issue a statement on Wayne's status with Cash Money Records. Via the post, Bryant stated that Wayne carried Cash Money for 10 years when he could have left and been great on his own, and that Weezy is the most loyal person that he knows.

Bryant doesn't actually call out Birdman by name, but he says that Wayne doesn't deserve what he's going through right now with the pending release of Carter V. When Wayne first voiced his complaints with Birdman and Cash Money, Bryant was interviewed by TMZ and said that everything "was good" between Wayne and the label, and that Weezy wasn't leaving. It appears that the tune has changed on that message though, with Bryant ending his statement saying that he and Mack Maine's primary goal now is to not let the Young Money dream die.

During his freestyle last night, Wayne seemingly hinted that he may be off the label soon, as he spit, "Did my time on Cash Money, time served and released, but this agent ain't free, word, that's the word on the streets." Bryant's full statement can be viewed below.

@LilTunechi built Young Money from his dreams to reality. Launched the careers of @Drake @NICKIMINAJ @Tyga not from their talent but from the belief in what he saw that they saw in themselves and put everything in making sure they fulfill their dreams! That’s what Young Money is about That’s the DNA of the real Lil Wayne Sacrifice himself to want his artist to be better! Wayne carried Cash Money on his back for over 10 years when he could have left and did this on his own The most loyal person I know on earth! He don’t deserve the shit he’s going through at this point in the game. One thing for sure Two things for certain @mackmaine and myself will not let this dream die WE GOT US! #YOUNG MONEY #sorry4forthewait #freeCV
