Jadakiss released "Why?," the single to his sophomore album, Kiss of Death 10 years ago and he asked some pretty important questions. Some of them are still relevant to this day. Questions like why he can't come thru in a pecan Jag, why CDs are selling under a dimebag, and why rappers lie in 85 percent of their rhymes have been left unanswered for too long. Check me out as I try to answer them the best I can. Don't scream like that, it's only the hawk!

"Yo, why is Jadakiss as hard as it gets?"
When you’re made of asphalt and concrete you’re pretty tough to break.

"Why is the industry designed to keep the artist in debt?"
Because they don’t want us to own anything. Indie is the place for a rapper like you.
"Why them dudes ain't ridin' if they’re part of your set?"
Because they are not built for this life nor the next. Stay away from people that refuse to ride.
"Why they never get it poppin' but they party to death?"
Because they’re more concerned with looking good for IG than to be considered thoro.
"Why they sellin' niggaz CD's for under a dime?"
The bootleggers are making all the cash because the hood rather get that three for $10 deal.

Gotta be prepared in case you got one too.
"Why is a brother up North better than Jordan that ain't get that break?"
“They trying to project the image to the public. That this is being done by thieves and thieves alone. And they ignore the fact that no, it is not a thievery alone, it's a corrupt, vicious, hypocritical system that has castrated the black man and the only way the black man can get back at is to strike it in the only way he knows how.” Or at least that’s how Malcolm felt.
"Why you ain't stackin' instead of tryin' to be fly?"
To look good for girls that don’t like ‘em and to impress other men.

Because people are snitchin’ and no one is putting them in the dirt.

"Why they kill Tupac n' Chris?"
To try and divide us more and kill the last American artform.
"Why at the bar you ain't take straight shots instead of poppin Crist'?"
Because we like to stunt and attract VIP groupies.

"Why would niggaz push pounds and powder?"
Because the hood is attracted to fast cash and the false sense of freedom dealing drugs full-time gives you.

"Why did Bush knock down the Towers?"
For that Middle Eastern oil and to have an excuse to militarize the police force. i.e. Ferguson, Mo.
"Why they gotta open your package and read your mail?"
Just in case you try to run your operation from the inside like John Gotti.
"Why they stop lettin' niggaz get degrees in jail?"
Because the prison system is for profit not for rehabilitation. Need more criminals not more educated people.
"Why do niggas lie in 85 percent of they rhymes?"
To sell records to those that are fantasized with ghetto life.

Cats out here hatin' on a young brother trying to make something of himself.

You need a poor class in order for capitalism to work.

He actually did an OK job. I mean, he got the ball rolling on the legalization of weed.

Because I just need a little something for my cataracts.

Because they have to control the population somehow, especially the black and brown population.

Because your shit is the purest and you use the scales that they gotta weigh the whales with.
"Why ain't you a thug by choice?"
I didn’t chose this life, this life chose me.
"Why the whole world love my voice?"
Because of the raspiness.
