If you got the chance to catch the premiere of the title track off this album, then you know we're really psyched to have the opportunity to share it in its entirety today. We Are Castor's album Invade & Disco has been a welcome relief into the daily shuffle of my iTunes recently added. To be entirely honest their sound was not something that I immediately latched onto, but I think that's because it wasn't as easily categorized as a lot of the music I'm used to listening to. If I'm listening to deep house, I know without listening to much of the song whether I like it or not because I know what to listen for. I'm aware of what sounds good and bad to me in that genre and I've learned to make quick decisions based off this knowledge.

Sometimes this leads to me skipping over tacks I may have enjoyed, but such is the nature of an overflowing inbox. I'm glad I took a second listen to WAC because what they've created with this album is truly percussive and pandemonious pornography (and you can miss me with the "that's not a word" comments, because it is now). The album combines such a rich combination of styles between and within songs that once they've got you it's hard to let go.

My theory? Keep an eye on the main stage at festivals next summer because that's where you'll find WAC. Their sound is too big to keep them confined to anything smaller and it's exactly that realization that's going to push them to bigger venues and larger crowds until everyone and their cousin is packing the stage and you have no idea what the hell is coming next. And you know what? That's just fine with me. Because the world needs more groups like We Are Castor keeping shit weird and unexpected and I can't wait to see where they end up.
